Have you ever looked up from your very full, very busy life and thought… wait—where did that part of me go? The part that used to feel lit up, spiritually connected, inspired?
That’s exactly what I’ve been sitting with lately.
This week’s note is a tender one—part reflection, part reminder, and part invitation to gently reconnect with a piece of yourself that might feel a little dim right now…
Life is full right now. I have two young kids. A business I care deeply about. A marriage I want to nurture. I try to squeeze in movement, some semblance of self-care, and the occasional moment to just sit and breathe.
And in the midst of all that… something feels like it’s gone dim.
There was a time when I felt deeply connected to something bigger.
A sense of magic. Intuition. Possibility.
I had time to daydream about big, beautiful things I wanted to create. I had time to wonder, to feel, to connect inward and upward.
These days, I mostly connect with my Google Calendar and my to do list.
If you feel this way, you’re not alone.
And it doesn’t mean anything’s wrong.
It just means we’ve drifted from that part of ourselves.
And it’s okay to want it back.
For me, it’s not about a specific religion or a perfect ritual.
It’s something more subtle, more personal.
It’s the feeling of being plugged in.
To myself. To something divine. To a deeper current that reminds me I’m not just here to do—I’m here to be.
When that spark is alive, I feel creative.
Open.
Hopeful.
Curious.
Like I’m part of something bigger.
When it’s dim, I feel like I’m just going through the motions—checking boxes, showing up, keeping it all afloat.
And maybe that’s part of this season of life. But still… I miss it.
So I’ve started asking:
Is it possible to feel spiritually connected inside this busy, beautiful, messy life?
Not after it calms down—but right here, in the middle of it?
1. Ask, “What do I long for?”
Not what needs to get done. Not what I should want.
But truly: What does my soul want today?
Sometimes the answer is a nap. Sometimes it’s movement. Sometimes it’s quiet.
2. Create tiny rituals.
I light a candle before writing.
Take three deep breaths in the morning.
Step outside and look at the sky—even if it’s just for 30 seconds.
It’s not fancy. It’s just a pause. And in that pause, sometimes… I feel it.
3. Revisit one old practice.
Not all of them. Just one.
A single mantra. A 5-minute meditation. A Soul Stroll on a solo walk.
Instead of trying to “get back” to who I was, I’m meeting myself where I am now.
4. Notice what brings awe.
A lyric that gives me chills.
My daughter’s laugh.
A tree catching the light just right.
That spark lives in small moments. I just have to look for them.
I don’t have it all figured out.
But I do believe that spark isn’t gone.
It’s still there—waiting for us to say,
I remember you.
Which one of these are you going to try this week?
