I am a proud mom, best-selling author, coach, fitness expert, TV show host and entrepreneur who has created a multi-platform MOVEMENT that includes live workout classes, a book, a transformational TV show and online programs that reach people in over 155 countries around the world.

I’ve come a long way from my years as a professional dancer who toured with renowned dance companies, to then then becoming an actor who guest starred on shows like The Sopranos, Sex and The City, Chappelle’s Show and more.

My passion for creativity, movement, self-expression, and self-discovery has always been at the root of all my life choices. However, making my way in the world as an artist with several different passions wasn’t always easy.

One thing I learned long ago was that the most important conversation we have each day is the one we have with ourselves.

How you treat yourself is how you are treated.

It was no surprise to me that even with my early successes, my internal conversation desperately needed an upgrade.

MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE.  THROUGH IT, WE GIVE BIRTH TO OUR TRUEST SELVES.

After years of yo-yo dieting, exercising only for weight loss, and struggling with self-confidence, I longed to figure out how to treat myself with consistent love and respect.

I was tired of thinking “I wasn’t (fill in the blank) enough.” (Thin, talented, smart, tall, pretty, etc.)

So, I dove deep into studying psychology, spirituality, meditation and more in hopes to change this internal conversation to one that uplifted and inspired me daily.

But still, with all the tools out there, I felt as though something was missing.

How does self-love, kindness, confidence, and compassion become ‘muscle memory’ rather than afterthoughts or just another intellectual idea?

Can we use our bodies to fortify our belief in self and tap into a deeper sense of strength and courage?

As I asked myself these questions, my mission became clear.

I am here to help people like you create movement in your body, which has the ability to create radical movement in your life.

When you put the mind and body in motion, they begin to heal themselves.

It’s the reason I wrote the book Mantras in Motion: Manifesting What You Want Through Mindful Movement. If you want to learn more about the book and grab some free goodies, CLICK HERE.

I am passionate about shifting the way we think about exercise, so it is not a punishment, but rather an opportunity to step into your power.

Furthermore, I want to see people like you living BIG lives, unafraid to go after your dreams while you are filled with happiness, love and abundance.

I believe being connected to your body is essential to achieving this.

We can learn to recognize the great wisdom that resides inside our bodies and hearts, instead of punishing ourselves with exercise we hate and diets that don’t work.

I believe we don’t need to get trapped comparing our lives and ourselves to others. We can learn to quiet the inner voice that tells us we can’t or we’re not good enough so that we are free to do good work in the world.

I believe that with passion, intention, belief, action, and allowing, we can DO, CREATE and ACHIEVE anything!

Fun Facts

I could never sit still as a kid, so I had agreements with my teachers that allowed me to stand next to my desk.

I did a lot of crazy things as an actor. The best was being shot by Steve Buscemi on The Sopranos.

My mom is an ovarian and breast cancer survivor. She taught me about meditation, tai chi and the tremendous power of a positive attitude.

My dad is a retired lawyer and judge. He taught me how to think logically, be fair and always do the right thing.

My brother Brian is a financial guru and appears on a show on MSNBC called “Options Action”. He was my very first best friend growing up.

My husband Lance and I went to elementary school together in a suburb of Chicago, but didn’t know each other very well. (‘Cause he was younger, and yes, I got me a younger man!) We randomly ran into each other on two very separate occasions in NYC, securing the fate of our future. He taught me everything I needed and wanted to know about love. You can read more about our love story HERE.

When I am not writing, teaching or creating, you can usually find me traveling to some wonderful new place with my beloved husband, Lance and baby girl, Kwynn, catching some amazing live music or binge watching one of HBO’s latest shows.
