It’s been a minute. I’m glad to be back!
I took the summer off from writing because I realized I’d lost something: my Main Character Energy.
You’ve probably seen the phrase online. To me, it simply means being fully present and fully visible in your own life. Not louder than anyone else. Just in the center of your own story.
Somewhere in the last few years I felt like I slowly shifted into the supporting character in my own life.
Mom, wife, business owner, problem solver. Everyone else’s storyline kept moving forward, and mine kind of… paused.
So I decided to do something about it. I committed to five things:
Walking every day
Regular date nights with my husband
Being really present with my kids
Sleeping late (needed!)
Writing the morning pages.
Looking back, every one of them was a small way of putting myself back in the frame.
Date nights where I’m not just Mom. Sleep because I needed it. Being with my kids without half my attention on everything else.
But my daily walks shifted things I have been trying to move for a really long time.
It’s when I spent a lot of time thinking about Main Character Energy.
I don’t need to be the center of attention in every room (thankfully), but I don’t want to slip so far into the background that even I don’t care about my own opinions.
Because here’s the thing:
When you hit middle age, it’s easy to lose your passion and quietly slip out of focus, even to yourself.
You stop voicing your opinions. Then you stop having strong ones. And eventually, you stop feeling much excitement for your own life at all.
So that’s what I’ve been working on this summer: bringing myself back to the center of my own story.
It’s also why I created something new inside The Movement.
It’s called a Good Mile, a guided walk where you cover a mile on the outside and something bigger on the inside. It’s like your own personal coaching session with me, while you walk.
The very first Goode Mile is all about stepping back into your Main Character Energy.
A friend, who is also a member of The Movement, sent me this voicemail:
“I’m on my walk. I just did the Good Mile, and I can’t wait to get home and tell my kids about it because that visualization of walking small and then the camera hitting you and walking, SHIFTED EVERYTHING for me. This is incredible! I swear, I’m so proud of you, and you have just done such great stuff. I love you.”
If you’d like to try the new Good Mile, your first 7 days of The Movement are totally free.
I think you’ll dig it.

More main character energy coming your way!
Love,
Erin
