A Powerful Mantra to Use Right Now

Today I have a very powerful mantra for you.

As of late, I have been extremely intentional with how I want to spend my time. I’m tightening things up from how much time/energy I spend on email, social media, with friends, family and even how I spend my time relaxing.

I am not trying to control things.

I am hoping to do the opposite.

I don’t want to squander any of it away on things that don’t truly matter.

And, as we move into the holiday season, I realize it gets really easy to move away from our centers of power. (The present moment!)

We get pulled by family obligations.
We feel the rush of all the people around us trying to get places.
We feel tempted to spend money on things we don’t need.

As a result, it’s easy to lose our patience and lose site of what we REALLY want.

If you find that you get easily distracted and give your energy to things that don’t add value to your life, this mantra is for you.

If you find that you do things you “think” you should do rather than what you really want to be doing, this mantra is for you.

Or worse, maybe you worry about things that are beyond your control, then this is for you.

Throughout the day, I want you to say to yourself the following:

This is how I want to live.

Let me repeat it:

This is how I want to live.

When we repeat this to ourselves throughout the day, it serves as a check in. We say it and suddenly, our minds and bodies are like, “Wait, IS this how I want to live? Shoot. It’s not. Let me adjust.”

Let me share a quick example.

Just yesterday, I was at my local coffee shop.

The barista was complaining about another customers rudeness. I get it. It stinks. But if I am being honest, my first thought was, “I don’t really want to hear your complaints right now.” Yikes.

Sometimes I find myself rushing to get somewhere, not really taking in the people around me. It’s not my best quality, but I am only human.

But then I used my mantra “This is how I want to live.”

And suddenly, I stopped. That was NOT how I wanted to live.

So, I looked her in the eye and said, “I’m sorry that person was rude. That is not fun to be on the receiving end. You have ever right to need a moment.  I also hope you won’t let it ruin your day.”

She practically melted in front of me. It was amazing.

Her whole body said, “Thank you. I have been seen and understood. And now I can move on and not let it ruin my day.”

I realize this is a small and maybe seemingly meaningless interaction, but when we say to ourselves, “This is how I want to live”, we start to get into alignment with how we really want to be.

And remember, you are a HUMAN BEING.

Not a Human Doing or a Human Trying.

So today and this next week, I invite you to use this mantra throughout the day as a check in:

This is how I want to live.
This is how I want to live.
This is how I want to live.

And let yourself move towards more of what you want and less of what you don’t.

With love,
Erin

P.S. Next week, I have a special promotion for those looking to join us in The Movement. Keep an eye on your inbox, it’s very exciting!
