The Mantra That Changed Everything

How To Decide What You Want

There Is No Wagon To Fall From. Only Life!

I used to struggle terribly with making decisions. I would hem and haw over the littlest things, afraid that whatever I would choose was going to be the “wrong” choice.

We all know there is never a right or wrong decision, only a best decision for YOU.

But that intellectual knowing never really helped me.

I still was afraid to make a choice.

I would get caught in perfectionism and it would cause me paralysis.

Perhaps you can relate.

One thing I have learned that has helped tremendously, is that I must give myself a little time to decide.

Sometimes I need to step back in order to really TUNE IN to what my heart desires.

Once I am able to do so, the answers usually become clear.

Today, I made a video for you.

I am giving you some movement and mantras that you can do to help you TUNE IN to your own feelings, so that decision making becomes easy.

I also share a little bit more about my all time favorite book that has literally changed my life.

Once you have watched, I would really love to hear from you! Did you do the movements with me? How did it feel to say or think these things? Do you struggle with decision-making and if so, share some of the tools you like to use.

I look forward to your thoughts!

With decisiveness and love,
Erin

Dear Erin, good afternoon (Italian time). Thank you for sharing your inspiring video. I am planning to regularly go back to it and practice the mantra, to stay tuned to the energy !!! By the way, I am reading Marie Kondo’s book as well. I stumbled into it in July and I am going through the final pages, before starting “the decluttering revolution”. What I do like most is taking care of the house as part of your inner space! Take care !

  2. Kevin says:

I truly love getting email from Erin. The movements and mantras adjust my mood and attitude in a good direction, it is simple and easy.

  3. Diana says:

    Erin…I love you!

OMG…I can’t believe you are talking about her book! I have been thinking about getting it and now I hear about it ALL. THE. TIME.

NO…Wait…YOU TOO! I DO THAT TOO! I NEVER put shit back. I can’t do it. Omg…you are totally me. I’m ordering the book right now! Lord to I want space to open up.

Thank you so much for sharing video…the exercises were greatly appreciated. I love you on video. 😀

    Loving everything that you do!
    Diana

I can’t wait to get this book, too!

Erin, the way you described decision overwhelm is right on target. I’ve started choosing only what brings me joy, and it is rocking my whole world! Scary, exhilarating, and life-changing. Wow.

I have a feeling the Tidying Up book is going to have the same effect. This is epically awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Tami says:

    Hi Erin,
I love your videos and usually really connect to all the mantras. I’m having some trouble with this one. Should every decision be focused only on what makes ME happy? Isn’t that a bit of a self-centered way of going through life? Don’t we have commitments to the people who we choose to have in our lives? Shouldn’t we sometimes put their needs before ours? I do struggle with making decisions because I feel a sense of commitment to toehrs, and have learned to put myself first sometimes, but if I did that all the time I think it would be detrimental to my relationships and just feel wrong…Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for everything you do!

    • Stephanie Slawek says:

Hey Tami, when I consistently make choices that bring me joy, it fills my cup, and then I am excited to share the joy by making choices that take the people around me higher. It’s a win-win for everyone. 🙂

  5. Amy clarl says:

Absolute perfect start to my day!

  6. Athena Castiglione says:

    Erin!! ❤️

Thank you so much for making this video and for your fabulous emails! I took the time this morning for myself to really read and watch this video. It felt great to take this time for myself.
    I said I can do anything for 10 minutes…
I am going to take that extra time for myself to just be… Instead of going, going, going!
Love and miss you! Thank you!!
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  7. Dana says:

    Hey Erin,

Thanks for this video. I often feel challenged by making decisions that are best for me and have beat myself up over not knowing what to do in the past.

Love the simplicity of the mantras and movements. I did it before I even got out of bed! And already feel more tuned in for my day.

Can’t wait to read that book you’re raving about!

    Have a great day everyone!
    Love and light,
    Dana

  8. Becca says:

Ah, once again your video is attuned with my life! The mantras and movements felt so uplifting I practiced them twice. Now, with a calm mind and open hear, I am ready to approach my day with patience and direction.

  9. Laurie says:

Perfect timing for me to see this video and the mantras. Thank you!
I admire your inspiration, motivation, and enthusiasm. ?
I also read and loved the tidying book, but have not gotten far with the execution of clearing my space. To top it off, I just left a secure, long-time job (that stopped bringing me joy, among other things) with not much to fall back on, That meant clearing out over a dozen year’s worth of “stuff” from my classroom. I discarded some items, donated others, but the rest is still in my home added to the other items that have yet to be cleared out. I know this clutter needs to be cleared so I can move on.
All this to say….Did you do the sorting/clearing yourself or did you have some help? It seems to be a very personal process, but it is extremely overwhelming.

    • Erin says:

Great question! Before I read the book, I was also completely overwhelmed with the prospect of going through things, so I hired someone. HOWEVER, after reading the book, I realized that this was a deeply personal and even spiritual experience to go through things and doing it alone felt exciting. It was an adventure with memories and catharsis. So when you are ready, I would suggest diving in, solo, if you can:) Congrats on leaving an unfulfilling job, too. xo

  10. Joanne says:

Perfect timing! I love this video and will share it will all of my clients. I am knee deep in the same book, loving it and getting ready to start the cleaning and clearing work this week. Your mantras are so helpful to keep the energy high and fluid and I genuinely love them.

    Thank you again!

  11. AmyK8 says:

This was a lovely addition to my day. The “spark of joy” has been a part of my wHolistic Design business for years. It is truly a cathartic adventure to give attention to one item at a time, hold space for a moment, and discover if it’s role in one’s life is still joy producing! This is how we begin to celebrate life within and all around us!

  12. Kelsey says:

How fun was that?! What a lovely mini-movement-meditation. Delicious!

  13. Agnes says:

Thanks Erin, I don’t think I fit your demographic as I am a retired teacher living a minimalist life style and moving to a new country every year. This year we are living in Belize. I have trouble committing to new things and even allowing what I have sought. I love the actions and the mantras they got me out or my chair and have made me energized. Decisions are easy, thank you.
    warmly,
    Agnes

  14. Lia says:

Thank you Erin! What a great post! Oh, btw, I love this book too and have almost finished Personal revolution 🙂 The sense of purity, freedom and joy is in the air and things “go” to their places auto-magically 🙂 love, love, love it!

  15. Pat says:

Thank you for another work out. It’s what I enjoy about you is all on the movements.thank you again.

  16. Kassy says:

LOVE THIS! It felt empowering. Going to be referring back to this often.

  17. Susan says:

I love your sweet smile and your joyous nature! I tried to hear the mantra you used with on this lovely video, but couldn’t catch the words.. Would someone please type the mantras for those of us who cannot hear?
    Thank you so much…
Your heart felt messages make me tear up, Erin.
    Susan

  18. Danny-J says:

Yes! Thank you so much I love you. Angele

  21. Marisela cortez says:

Hi dear Erin, I really enjoy your energy and the way that you combine self inner evolution with physical evolution and joy!
Everything that I do, I do it from a place of joy even though sometimes I do stumble. Over weight was never of my concern until after I had my first baby, I only have 2 children. I am visualizing my body shrinking to 40 pounds less! My true body weight should be at not more than 118 lb. I wish to welcome this change with love, ease and grace.

    Thank you for the love.
    Angel hugs! ?

  22. fabulous, Erin, thank you so much!
    Sincerely, Katie

  23. Sarah says:

This is such a great video! I definitely struggle with making decisions in many areas of my life. What you said about tuning in to whether something sparks joy within ourselves really resonated with me. Found myself smiling while saying the mantras and doing the movements along with the video. Thank you so much, Erin!

  24. Maria says:

    Hi Erin,

Thank you for your video. I was actually smiling through the exercise. 😉

My issue is that I’ve enrolled in a direct marketing program which promotes health and wellness (it is not an MLM). I’m excited about this opportunity but because I suffer from anxiety and depression and suffer from hypothyroidism I’m not always feeling my best or being in the mood to talk to potential clients.

I have thought about blogging for a living–oh oh…I love to read and share stories and my experiences but when I sit down to think about it, blogging would mean sharing everything about who I truly am.

Can you share any ideas as to which of these two would best suit me?

I’m confused as to what my true calling is.

    Thank you.
    Hugs, Maria

  25. Katie says:

love this video. will return to it and do it as part of my spiritual practice…… and now onto decluttering earrings.
