Mid-Day Meditation Break
Today, I have a special gift I made for you.
It’s a rejuvenating Mid-Day Meditation Break.
You see, I wake up at 6:30am everyday.
No, it’s not because I want to be productive and get a jump on the day. And no, it’s not because I think that’s when ‘successful’ people should wake up.
I have a baby. And that’s when she wakes. So, I don’t have much of a choice.
And if you know me, you know I am NOT, by any standards, a morning person.
If I had my druthers, my eyes wouldn’t open until 7:30 at the earliest. That’s just the way my body likes to roll.
Yes, it’s lovely seeing the morning sunlight, but mama would rather have my morning sleep, if I am being truthful.
As a result of this newer wake-up time, my energy for the day really starts to peter out in the afternoon. Around 3 pm it sort of feels like I’m done-zo for the day. And yet, there is often still a little more I want to accomplish.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I posted what I do to replenish my energy.
It’s so easy and it’s seriously SO good.
I basically lay on the floor, let the weight of my body go completely, and I breathe. A lot. With some lovely music. And I let the whole day just melt into the floor.
And when I’m done and I get up, it feels like I went to a spa, got a massage, AND sat in the steam–but I didn’t even have to redo my hair and makeup.
It’s that good. 🙂
Since I knew you might like to try it, I recorded a laying down Mid-Day Meditation Break for you.
It’s short and sweet.
And all it requires is that you have a floor to lay on. (If you are in an office, perhaps you can close your office door or find a quiet corner somewhere. If you can’t find a spot to get on the floor, simply do this sitting down. It still totally works!)
Once you do it, leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Did you feel rejuvenated afterward? Did you feel like you were able to squeeze a little more juice out of the day?
If you did, consider forwarding this blog post to a friend, so they too can feel the good juju from a mid-day break.
Because whether you’re a morning person or not, we could all use some more good juju, don’t you think?
