How Walking Changed My Body And My Mind

When our bodies are going through major changes, it can feel like there’s nothing we can do to feel like ourselves! But my dear, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

I’m officially almost 6 months postpartum. I’m gaining strength and starting to get my groove back.

But, similar to perimenopause and menopause (which will be around the corner for me as well!), those early days after having a baby had my hormones up and down.

My body didn’t feel like my own!

I was weak and tired. I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror. Not to mention the brain fog and sluggishness.

While I didn’t have a ton of time or energy to do major workouts, I knew I could do something!

One of the best things I’ve done to help me feel more energized, vibrant and mentally sharp, are regular walking workouts.

I made it my goal to get in at least 5000 steps a day and the difference I noticed in both my body and my mood was bananas. There was a HUGE shift in how I felt and how productive I was on the days I got my steps in!

I had the energy to take care of myself and my family and stay productive in my business and life during such a busy time of upheaval and change.

I know many of you in this community are also experiencing changes with your body and sometimes it can feel darn right frustrating!

There’s so much information out there in regards to exercise, it’s hard to know what is the most impactful way to spend your time!

Well, I’ve got news for you.

It’s true. Having a consistent movement routine can make a dramatic impact on your body and your mind!

It can help to:

  • Regulate hormones
Exercise can help stabilize hormonal shifts, which can reduce the severity of hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.
  • Improve metabolism
Exercise increases the rate at which your body burns calories, which can help prevent weight gain.
  • Protect bones
Strength training and impact activities like walking can help offset bone mineral density decline and prevent osteoporosis.
  • Reduce stress
Exercise produces endorphins that can lower stress and reduce anxiety and irritability.
  • Improve sleep
Regular exercise may support better sleep patterns

If these aren’t good reasons to get up and get moving, I don’t know what is.

That’s why I’m giving you access to my 5000 Steps Indoor Walking Workout. This has become the most popular workout inside The Movement recently, so you better believe there are more in the pipeline!

I’d love for you to give it a try and then let me know what you think!

Remember, I’m here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can navigate these changes and find joy and strength in movement.

Love,
Eri
