Your Lane, No Pain

How are you doing staying in your own lane? (If you don’t know what I am talking about, check out last week’s post: (STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE)

THIS WEEK, I’m showing you something I “shouldn’t” have done. All for me. By myself… (I used my i-phone camera to prove it). When you stay in your OWN LANE, you have NO PAIN because you are doing what is GOOD FOR YOU!! Staying in your own lane means HONORING that very thing that is calling you, even if it doesn’t necessarily make sense.

In the comments below, let me know the thing you want to do, JUST FOR YOU, no matter what anyone else thinks!!

Have a stellar weekend!

xo Erin

The other day like you, had a million and one things to do but I really wanted to take a nap in the MIDDLE of the day!!!!!! How could I ? I took the plunge and just went for it and it was the best nap ever that gave tons of energy afterwards to complete all my tasks plus more. 🙂
Love ya, you are awesome !

    • Erin says:

Bonnie- This is awesome! Right, like HOW COULD YOU nap in the middle of the day!!? What a perfect example. I know you work your tail off, so yes, sounds like it was RIGHT thing to do:)

  6. Erin, this is brilliant! What I want to do that I know I shouldn’t is audition for a commercial! I have NO IDEA WHY I WANT THIS but I have a huge desire to do a national commercial. Like become the spokesman for some awesome, earth friendly brand that makes a difference for people. I have no idea how to do this and no resume to prove that I can. So there! I said it. Lights! Camera! Action! Universe, I am ready!

    • Erin says:

Alright Richard!! Love it! I know you are an action man, so how are we gonna make this happen!? Because we can, we can. Just put the plan to paper Mister Oceguera:)

  7. Shonda Howard says:

You’re SO RIGHT!! (and smart and pretty and funny:) But for Reals, I needed that HUGE reminder that its OK to give myself a break!!

    • Erin says:

  8. Staying in my own lane…I think this is my biggest focus for this month, no, YEAR! I love you and I kinda wish I was skipping in the park with you right now. I should be working on my website but feel like planning my engagement party first! So take that “should-a!” In yo face!

    • Erin says:

Ooooh girl! Yes! Plan that party, plan that party! The website IS gonna happen. It’s NOT, NOT gonna happen. U know this. I can’t wait for your party and your website. and I wish you were skipping w/ me too:)

    Girl, you rock!

Been gettin your stuff for the last couple of months.
    Always upbeat. Always inspirational.

Had an extra minute and(finally)looked at one of your videos..
    Well, what can I say?

    Had to watch ’em all.

Too much fun. Love the attitude.

Gonna come out and catch you live. Have to.
(but not in a stalkerly way…)

Keep it up. Life is not a rehearsal!
There’s only the one way to live it: BOLD!

As they say in LA LA Land: “Don’t ever change..”

    • Erin says:

Thank you so much Greg! I appreciate you takin’ the time to look around and hope to now have you hooked:)

And thank YOU for the reminder that life is NOT a rehearsal. So true. Go BOLD. Only way to be, baby!

      Great to connect!

Earlier in the week, the boy reminded me of that one day last week when I was freaking out that I wasn’t busy-after last weekend I was reminded how important it is to take some Liz time and do things I enjoy that aren’t work related-or even fitness related AT ALL. This vid was perfect, loved watching you skip through the park-you are one inspirational lady, Air! xo

hooray for play! My upstairs neighbor and I have discovered a GREAT way to play that makes us so happy: we contact each other on weeknights, usually around 9ish, walk to the bodega, buy popsicles, and walk around Williamsburg eating popsicles and watching the hipsters go by. We call it the Popsicle Walksicle. And it is awesome. And we are sooo in our own lane when we do it.

    My dearest Erin,

My computer has been c-blocking me for 3 days from watching this video. The intoxicated (not kidding) Comcast guy just left and the first thing I did was go to This was HILARIOUS! I should have had my Comcast internet guy stick around for a minute to watch the video. Pretty sure he combined his to do list and play all in one.

PS- Can you please send some magic wand my way. xoxo

  13. Ami says:

I have been trying to practice this, as I know what you are saying is key. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and reminding us at the same time that laughter is always important! Tons of love!

  14. Heather says:

Um, I freaking love you. Hilarious and inspiring video – I can’t believe it took me this long to watch it! It was much needed this morning though, so thank you.

  15. Erin,
